Cancun is a lot of love that only beautiful beaches and turquoise waters, well, that really is the beautiful thing about Cancun, and although it is difficult to beat water activities, it really has a wide variety of things to see and do, here we put only some options of them, some very famous and others not so much but we think it is worth discovering.

What is the weather in Cancun?

Cancun has an average temperature of between 26-35°C and enjoys a warm and constant climate throughout the year, which makes it the perfect place for your next beach vacation. The best time to visit Cancun is during the dry season, from February to April, or the wet season, from July to September. But there really isn't a specific time of the year, Cancun is always a good idea. The rainy season in Cancun is between the months of May and August, when it rains the most in Cancun. But don't worry if you travel on these dates!, since Cancun has a tropical climate, it often rains in the afternoon and only lasts a couple of hours. Next to the "Cancun Spot" is the Mirador, one of the best beaches in this destination. Your visit is free and open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It has play areas for children, but be careful with the waves!

El Rey

The archaeological site of El Rey is located just 200 meters from the Mirador de Playa Delfines, it is an area with several small structures distributed along about 700 meters. The park has a large number of iguanas and is very attractive especially for children. It is advisable to bring water, a cap, hat and comfortable shoes since there are no shops or vendors inside.

Museo Maya

The Mayan Museum of Cancun offers a complete view of the culture and architecture of the Mayan people, which covers thousands of years of history and encompasses three different types of pieces: archaeological, ethnographic and artistic. The museum is located in an impressive building that mimics a pyramid, located in the center of the city, on Kukulkán Boulevard (kilometer 16.5), next to the archaeological site of San Miguelito.

Plaza la Isla Cancún

(La Isla Shopping Village)

Plaza La Isla Shopping Village is located at kilometer 12.5 of the hotel area of Cancun, it is one of the most popular shopping centers in the Riviera Maya. It has more than 100 stores!, cafes, ice cream parlors, craft shops, luxury stores, clothing stores, jewelry stores, incredible adventures such as the JetPack or the FlyBoard. What to do in downtown Cancun?

Para llegar al centro de Cancún desde la zona hotelera, hay que tomar un autobús. Hay dos rutas principales (R1 y R2) que viajan a lo largo de la costa que te lleva a cualquier lugar en el centro de Cancún. Para mayor comodidad y conveniencia durante su viaje, le recomiendo tomar antes de las 7 pm o después de las 10 pm que es cuando mas movimiento de trabajadores tiene.

Market 28

If you are looking for a bargain, Market 28 is the ideal place. You will be surrounded by local vendors who sell everything from street food to handicrafts. And since it is close to the hotel area, there are many places to eat and drink inside or around the market, you can enjoy delicious authentic Mexican food, for example right in front is EMARA, an incredible place of Yucatecan food, one of the best in the city, and with prices that you will not believe. Don't forget to ask for your FAMOUS FROZEN HORCHATA WATER, it's crazy! El cejas is another great option, a typical restaurant in the city specializing in seafood.

As for shops, you should know that it is not the classic market to which we are accustomed, you will not find fruit stalls and Don Juan's polleria, it is a market focused on handicrafts and souvenirs mainly, you will find a wide variety of silver joryería, ceramic products, leather goods, painted and handmade pieces, wrestling mask, tequilas And, if you negotiate a little, you can get a good discount. The bus marked as "R-2" will take you a short distance from Mercado 28 and Plaza Bonita, where you can buy souvenirs at a good price.

Plaza Las Americas

Plaza Malecón Las Americas Cancun, also known as Plaza Las Américas, is a large tourist shopping center located on the boardwalk of Cancun (Mexico). It has more than 180 stores, including clothing stores, jewelry, electronics, toys, sports, department stores, the main fashion chains in the world, cinemas, fast food area, banks, pharmacies, casinos, supermarkets, cafes and a wide variety of world-class restaurants such as Hooters, The Olive Garden and Chili's, Mc Donalds, Starbucks, among others. Laguna nichupte

Laguna Nichupté is a fascinating natural area with an area of more than 3,000 hectares in which there are several mangroves and seven beautiful lagoons, some of them are: Laguna Bojórquez, Ciega, San José and Del Amor, named for its peculiar heart shape. There are also different water activities such as boat or kayak rides, jet skiing, canoeing or speedboat to a tour of the Caribbean Sea to enter an exploration and enjoy the marine fauna.
